Performance Lab at OFC Now Open: A Smarter Approach to Athlete Development
The Performance Lab at Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic (OFC) in Mankato is now open—offering a purpose-built facility that supports athlete development, injury recovery, and high-level training under one roof.
The 5,400 square-foot facility is the result of years of planning, rooted in our region’s most trusted name in orthopedic care and our clinicians' passion for full-spectrum care. As part of OFC, the Performance Lab integrates specialized performance training and orthopedic expertise under one roof—giving patients, active adults, and local athletes a direct line to high-level care and coaching.
The Performance Lab’s approach is simple but powerful: train smart, train consistently, and train with a purpose. Every athlete, client, or patient receives individualized coaching tailored to their sport, lifestyle, or recovery. Programming blends strength and speed development with movement quality, injury mitigation, and recovery. Unlike typical training models, it’s all guided by medical and performance professionals working together—not apart.
Located within OFC’s newest addition, the Lab offers something other training programs can’t: true integration with sports medicine. “If there’s a concern with pain, a movement limitation, or even just a question about recovery—we can walk down the hall and collaborate with our sports medicine team in real time,” says Landon Messner, Director of Strength & Performance at OFC.
OFC’s Performance Lab is taking a deliberate, high-quality approach to ensure every client receives hands-on coaching. Services are available for individuals, teams, and small groups—with plans available for return-to-play athletes as well.
The Lab is now enrolling athletes across all sports, with limited availability for summer and fall programs. “We work with athletes who are ready to grow—those who are committed, coachable, and eager to take that next step,” Messner says.
If that sounds like you, your son, daughter, or team—now’s the time to get started. The Performance Lab at OFC is more than just a training facility—it’s a long-term partner in your journey.
