Most of us are very dependent on our hands. Painful or non-functioning hands or fingers can have a significant impact on our quality of life. We use our hands to help us eat, dress, play, earn a living, and communicate. The list is endless. To accomplish these tasks or activities, our hands must provide movement (both fine and gross), grasping, and sensation.
When a problem occurs in the hand, all the different types of tissues (muscles, tendons, bones, and nerves) that make up a functioning hand need to be considered.
Our orthopaedists can help you when one or more of these requires attention.
